Slow cookers are cool. This appliance helps you cook warming meals on chilly nights and gets you out of the kitchen on hot days. No wonder the popularity of slow cookers is soaring. Slow cookers are available in many sizes, colors, and some are programmable. If you don't have a slow cooker yet you may wish to buy one.
There are over 3000 restaurants to choose from in Berlin. The city's restaurants offer a huge array of cuisine, with some of the best Indian, Vietnamese and vegetarian restaurants in Europe. Be sure to visit one of the quintessentially German restaurants and sample some of the traditional German dishes. Head to Marjellchen for affordable traditional seasonal German cuisine. This family-run restaurant has some impressive old-style Prussian dishes including slow cooked aromatic duck, dumplings and saurkraut and beetroot soup. If you'd rather try some haute cuisine, head to Fischers Fritz, which has two Michelin stars. Enjoy the old-school glamour and excellent wine list in this divine restaurant, but don't expect it to be cheap - a meal for two including wine here will be well over 100 euros. If you love wines from the Mediterranean, then start at Samos Tavern in Mt. Pleasant on Coleman Boulevard at 5 pm on Monday night to savor their regular Monday night offering. Call Samos at 843-869-6619. The cost is $5 and is a great stop on your way to California to experience a five course dinner at Crave Kitchen and Cocktails. The selection of main courses included Seared Scallops, Grilled Norwegian Salmon, White Bean Cassoulet, Roasted Amish Chicken, Seared how to cook duck, Roasted Rack of Lamb, Shellfish Past, Surf and Turn, Roasted Berkshire Pork Porterhouse, Grilled New York Strip Steak and Grilled Filet of Beef with Herb Butter Crust. Entrees were priced from $26 to $70. When you're buying your slow cooker duck, don't worry about fancy settings or expensive models. There are some new brands that make them with locking lids or buffet settings Just think about what you're really going to use. Will you ever use this for parties? Will you ever take food to someone else? If the answer is no, then you may want to buy a cheaper model with just three settings. The Lounge is open Nightly: 5:30pm-11pm and yes do make reservations. Some of their top items are Hand crafted spinach and chive pasta with snails, garlic, herbs and bread crumbs for $25.00, Wood-roasted Colorado rack of lamb and crispy Wisconsin lamb belly with Sardinian couscous, baby fennel and myrtle for $ 42.00 and Creamy Aquerello organic risotto with asparagus, taleggio cooking whole duck on rotisserie crispy dewlap for $25.00. NOTE: Do not let anyone throw away the duck bones or skin. After everyone is done eating, take all the scraps, plus whatever's left in the roasting pan, and put it all back in the pot of water in which the duck was boiled. Bring the pot back up to a simmer and let it go an hour or more. You will end up with a rich broth, which you'll strain and cool overnight uncovered. The duck fat will rise to the top. Use the broth for soup or cooking rice. Save the duck fat and use it for frying potatoes.
